Jan '24 Transfer window requirements ?

Liam Millar, age 24 Preston ?

His 2 goals & 3 assists in their last four games mean Millar has been shining despite some difficult PNE results - his performance against Leeds has only heightened the media excitement.

Millar is not a "permanent PNE player" & his displays will inevitably spark interest from other clubs.
He's currently on loan from Swiss Super League club Basel & is a Canadian national team player & ex- Liverpool youth player.

He was being chased by us & 3 other clubs in the summer - defo one that got away that could have helped our midfield engine creativity, like Mateusz Klich once did.

Millar certainly has that ability to go past defenders & produce the big moments, for sure.

Thoughts of what is required now via Jan permanent or loan deals ?

I think we also should recall Sinisterra if possible and send back Anthony the other way.

Farke needs a video on how and when to rotate squads and make subs.

We could also do with moving on Paddy Eminem Bamford and bringing in a reliable striker in his stead.

They need to finally decide what is happening with Ayling and Cooper together with the crop of promising but largely under used younger players such as Cresswell, Joffy, Bate, McGurk, Gyabi and Hjelde.

Decent first half of the season but an opportunity for the owners and management team to shine in this window.

Left back, but for ten seasons this cry has gone unheard, and striker, thought piroe was the answer but obviously not, although farke, as previous managers have done, likes to play square pegs in round holes….unfathomable.

Definitely sell the rats, and unfortunately the “old guard” let the youngsters come through, although farke seems to be reluctant to give cresswell, helde, Joseph much game time, I don’t see promotion this year but with a few additions and keeping rodon, Summerville and Rutter is a priority.

    Agree norfolk.

We have had a few chances at clawing back some points off Ipswich but obviously we just don't have the bottle to do it , that leaves us with the play-offs and , well...we all know how that usually pans out!

Summerville won't be here next season , way too good for the Championship , think we will get an offer we can't refuse.

That’s the worst thing, stay in the championship another season and be much stronger but lose Summerville, rodon etc which actually makes us weaker, or miraculously get promoted and get whacked every week…..catch 22….I hate football.

Without promotion, Summerville and Rutter are gone, and probably joined by Gray, Meslier (despite his red), James, perhaps a couple of others in the youth ranks (Hjelde, Cresswell, Gelhardt). Some of that might happen in the winter TW.

Rebuilding from that won't be easy, or rapid.

Once more Eeyore spots the mountain of doom and gloom.
