    Coventry v Swansea

    Coventry v Swansea, Fri 29 Dec 19:45
Christmas holiday fixtures tend to throw up some surprise results.
We certainly had ours on Boxing Day where a second-half capitulation by the weak Swans players ended in a humiliating 5-0 defeat, down and out without a whimper, without any fight, totally unacceptable.
Well, we’re on the road again, this time to Coventry, to meet another in-form team, unbeaten in 5 games, including draws against high flyers Leeds and Southampton.
Managerless since Duff was dismissed on Dec 4, and with a rookie in temporary charge of the team for nearly a month, our USA owners “fiddle while Rome burns”. Unwilling to pay the going rate to attract a decent manager and unwilling to pay compensation to another club, their options are limited, they are hoping the temporary man in charge will come good.
With the transfer window opening in a few days, all the best players will be scooped up by other clubs before a new incumbent can assess the squad and get his act together.
I can only foresee another defeat but in fairness we have a good record against Coventry so perhaps a draw is not too much to hope for?

Extended highlights. See Joe Allen move aside to allow Cullen’s shot through the wall.

Much better display boys, Coventry are a good team and reached the play-offs last season.
Ex-Swan loanee Kasey Palmer looked good, should have kept him.
West Brom at the .com on Monday, another tough one.
Key out for a while with a hamstring injury but 17 year old Parker from the U-21’s came in and did well.
