Looks like this one is going to rumble on for a bit longer BT. One thing that hasn’t been mentioned by all the TV soccer experts, is how many times the Villa player rolled over ,after receiving extremely minimal contact to the underside of his boot. Surely it was pretty obvious , especially for the referee ,who was about 10 yards away, at the time. That’s what I don’t understand.

VK jumped up another ten notches in the opinion stakes following this comment on Lyle Foster:

The South Africa international, who scored in Saturday’s unfortunate 3-2 defeat at Aston Villa, looks in brilliant form, a happy by-product of the care he has been given by his club and manager after receiving specialist care during two months out of action. “We were dealing with a human tragedy really, a young lad who had lost it completely, such a good lad as well,” Kompany said. “To see him get back up, just enjoying the game … being out there on the pitch, with his teammates, smiling after the game, I can go away from being a manager [and] as a human being, I’m really happy to be part of this moment.”

Some things really are more important than football.

Happy New Year to all. Sorry I am somewaht late, I have started my Virtual Walk of Hadrian's Wall in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance Service and have just got back after 5 miles in lovely sunny, if breezy, weather. Let's hope that we never need to use the service!

You do wonder why they (the pundits) didn’t mention it when it was so blatant an overreaction. The referee did nothing about it at the time and I presume the player will not have to explain the death roll.

Apologies. Apparently Duran’s behaviour was disapproved of by Gary Lineker. Did anyone back him up?

'' the Great North Air Ambulance Service ''

''Don't you worry buddy, I am sure I will not be needing that service!'' I'm not paying for something I don't use? Do you think they are wise enough to find my place? קיבוץ עין המפרץ
