    Fermer's Game

8 to 9 hours of heavy rain due from early hours to late morning..................! Really hope 2024 isn't going to start with another call off.

If it is it will be nobodies fault except the refs, the spl, Dundee council, SEPA, the water board, John kettley, global warming, climate change, a snow bomb or God himself.

Everyone connected or associated with DFC has a lifetimes exemption of blame. 😉

Scottish Water are only responsible for the water supply outside the boundary of a person’s house or a business such as a football stadium.

The pitch could still be drying out from last Wednesday’s heavy rain.

Sadly there is no mention on the Club website highlighting that tomorrow’s home game against St Johnstone FC is all ticket.
You would have assumed that Messrs Nelms and Fenton would have ensured that an announcement was posted on the Club website advising that there are no cash turnstiles in operation, even in the Bob Shankly Stand for this game to avoid a repeat of the massive queue outside the ticket office at Arbroath game on 2nd January last year.

The hundreds of people queuing outside the ticket office before the Arbroath game on 2nd January 2023 with a lot of them giving up and returning home might say differently especially as there were cash turnstiles in operation for Arbroath fans sitting in the Bob Shankly Stand.
A similar situation could again happen before the St Johnstone game as people home for the New Year holiday decide to go to the game unaware that the game is all ticket.
On this occasion there are no cash turnstiles for St Johnstone supporters as earlier today (Monday) I checked their website.

That's good research Islay - checking the St Johnstone website to find information that everyone already knows was an excellent use of your time.

Sitting here at 8am thinking game must be off; what has Nelmsy done to our ground?
