Must be laws already in force and can be applied if a dog injures or kills another animal or a human? Do we need any more to single out a particular breed? 6months imprisonment and or fine if found guilty. What more do you need?

Encountered a few on my travels with the dugg. Almost without exception, the owner/minder struggled to keep the dog under control while on the lead. I have seen women out 'walking' them, getting virtually dragged about. Why would anybody want a dog like that?

Think a letter to the Courier making this very point, naming the SNP politician who is defending their approach might have a salutary effect. If you know you WILL be held accountable, it might stop some of the silly decisions that have been made recently.

Rebecca Baird would soon change her tune if she or a member of her family were attacked by an XL Bully dog. She would then be demanding an immediate change in the law in Scotland.

What do you think she'd say if she or a member of her family were attacked by a Golden Retriever? Do you think she'd be demanding a change in the law in Scotland to ban Golden Retrievers?

As she's quoted Chihuahuas in her Courier article my guess is she probably wouldn't. Hopefully the SNP/Greens will see sense and enforce the ban in Scotland but I'm truly amazed at the amount of people who say these XL Bullies are no different to Chihuahuas or Poodles or you could be bitten by a hamster so let's ban them too.

If England says they're OK does she propose banning them?

Poodles, Bichon Frise, Hungarian Vizsla, Doberman, Staffy - the list goes on - all fine in England but not being proposed as banned here. I get what you're saying but it's not a good point to make in this case.
