Darts is a game....but not being a sport hasn't stopped the last two winners of SPOTY winning. More contentious still.

Possibly not...on the basis that darts isn’t a sport. Oops...contentious!
Look at it this way, he's already showing more personality than the vast majority of people on the SPOTY shortlists of the last 20 years

That’s not contentious...it’s just not true. The last two winners have been footballers and football is a sport regardless of gender participation.
I seem to remember Steve Davis winning SPOTY though so the precedent for ‘games’ may have been set.

Even more contentious, as a non-minority person in a non-minority sport which BBC don’t have the rights to, will he be ‘remembered’ when the SPOTY winners are announced in 11 months time

Possibly depends on whether 2024 brings the same dearth of UK sporting achievement as 2023. I doubt the non minority aspect is even remotely relevant.

Nah...haven’t you heard...this is the year we take back control...once Sunak plucks up the courage to finally consult the electorate. April or May looking likely I’ve heard.

Are you referencing that man of Reigate Grammer, Keir Starmer?

Do you recall the song ‘oops I did it again’?
