It’d get my vote…but more to the point…morally, ethically and legally it is the correct thing to do.
Unfortunately it’ll also cost a fortune and many of those ‘wrongdoers’ will be well able to afford the best representation that money can buy so, just like the Covid enquiry, guess who’ll have to meet the cost of seeking justice and prosecuting the wealthy wrongdoers.

So ae you suggesting that they aren't pursued because it will cost money? For a start, one can recover legal costs in civil cases and some costs in criminal cases depending upon the wealth of the person convicted. Also if the action is to recover money gained by fraud, then if say any action costs say £5 million, but recovers £60 million isn't that a net gain to the exchequer?

Also judging by the reaction of Baroness Mone, taking action does have an effect, they guard their reputation and standing in society, so any action costs them both money and reputation.

If the action is just to convict those or punish in someway officials or politicians then yes it costs, but justice isn't cheap and examples need to be made.

Fair points and no…not at all. I’m just observing that the one area of ‘growth’ in our society at present seems to be the area of enquiry and criminal investigation. We’ve previously touched on the - imo ridiculous - amounts charged by those leading such investigations but your £5m/£60m is a well made point.
