I think this is the way to go for now.

Definitely, man. Keep our powder dry for the Summer.

Even in the Summer, the problem is we've spent around £400m and recouped about £30m (Wood and ASM) since the new owners came in which is a huge problem in terms of ffp. Everything coming out of the club seems to be preparing us for a big sale in the Summer.

If we have to sell Bruno or any of the other high value players I pray that they go abroad, I DO NOT want to be watching Bruno playing for a rival on match of the day! If he has to go then it’s ONLY abroad for me or he stays.

The bad luck with injuries was having over 10 players who would normally be involved on match day injured at the same time.
    This has led to:
    - players being unable to be rested leading to further injuries (we’ve had a very heavy fixture schedule).
    - players being rushed back (again leading to more injuries)
    - not being able to train (sometimes at all) due to fixture schedule and lack of players.

It’s hardly surprising we’ve been on such a sh*t run (and shows how poor the mackems are as well).

Add to that the inability to make effective changes during games. We had two 'keepers and 3 untried ****agers as subs not that long ago and, I think, Dummett and Ritchie.

We haven’t spent 400m… we’ve committed to that… and that is spread over the direction of the contract… so 25% or 20% of a fee per season

We have major income increases coming in as part of next season… Adidas is a 25m uplift on Castore and Sela is an 18m uplift on Fun88.

We also have players who we will complete paying for… Miggy, Wilson, Joelinton, Willock… will all be coming up soon… which will at least offset our payments per season.

We sold more than ASM and Wood… Shelvey, Darlow, Fernandez, probably more? Not much I know, but an extra few mill a year coming in to offset outgoings.

It’s not as dark as the press are painting it to be, and I think we’ll see more deals done in time for next season, better financial income due to a more professional club and bigger revenue streams from global sales after popping back up in Europe.
