That my mate is a story for a different day.

The likes of Trafford, Vitinho, Beyer, O'Shea, Taylor, Al-Dakhil, Amdouni, Odobert, Koleosho & Foster are way above Championship grade football, my question is why are they are not cutting it in the EPL.

Does the answer lie in VAR and the EPL bias towards the moneyed few?

I think you can add to that too many mistakes on our part - poor finishing, wayward passes, poor decisions. Too many goals conceded have resulted from our mistakes. Trying to doggedly play out from the back against a high press. Sometimes Dycheball is the right choice - get it up the pitch away from danger.

I know I'm in the minority on here but give me SD's careful to avoid potential problems or dangers approach any day of the week instead of VK's suicidal "play it out from the back at all times" nonsense.

But we did a lot of clearing the lines on Friday.

I was weary of our footie under Sean in the Prem but he played that way because of the resources he had, when he won the Championship it was different football. VK is not playing to suit the players he has and we are suffering for it. He needs to be more flexible to accommodate the lower skill levels of some of the players.

The question is:- Bearing in mind what you have posted which, in my opinion, is correct. Who is the best manager in the situation?
I think that VK is working hard to make things work, however, he is working with a lot of inexperienced players and it takes time to gel. The work will continue, we may win a few and lose even more and get relegated. Whether this season will prove to be a benefit to the learning curve will be debatable and unknown until we know exactly where we stand. Interesting times.

Maybe we have to accept that there's only so much a manager can do, Sean got criticised for the way his team played, too much Dycheball and not enough football, now Vinni is being criticised for the way his team plsys, too much football and not enough Dycheball. The logical conclusion, I would suggest, is that it doesn't matter much what a manager does, or how he asks his team to play, if his players aren't good enough, or not ready for the level they're playing at, he's fecked.

Kompany has no idea what pragmatism means.

SD had the nous to play within the perimeters of his players ability, Kompany instructs his team to play like he has eleven Kevin De Bruyne's at his disposal.

Edwards at Luton manages to squeeze the very best out of a largely poor talent pool, Kompany just refuses to even play his best players.

I'm fed up with January, fed up with VAR and sick of Vincent Kompany.

And yet, as well you know mon ami, if we hadn't been robbed blind on numerous occasions by the VAR clownshow, we would be well clear of the bottom three, and there's nothing VK can do about that.

And a question for you to ponder. Having a moan on another thread about the lack of opportunity afforded to Zaroury, you said it was not possible for a good player to become a bad player overnight. But now you want a manager sacked who you were eulogising only a few short months ago, So if a good player can't become a bad one overnight, how can you insist that a good manager has become a bad one overnight ?

His team selections are baffling. His substitutions are mind blowing. His refusal to change tactics to engage with a different quality of opposition.

His lack of loyalty to the players who provided a lot of Burnley fans with one of their best ever seasons following the Clarets.

Playing Vitinho at right back and not having back-up for Taylor at left back leaves us exposed on both flanks.

    No nailed on centre-back pairing.

    No nailed on midfield.

Buying Mike Tresor and compounding that by adding a centre-forward with mental health problems is enough for me to not bother debating this subject anymore.

Let's see what sort of a fist we can make of next season's Championship.
