An odd one this. Doncaster are clearly upset that he’s leaving them for a club a few places higher than them and I can see their point.

The fact he’s closer to home seems to make sense though. Maybe they’re keeping a closer eye on him.

I can’t remember this kind of thing happening before. It smacks of making money over keeping players settled.

Yep, but not by the Albion if the interview I saw with McCann's anything to go by.

Apparently we were happy for Faal to stay but McCann's fuming with both Mo and his agent.

Wouldn't surprise me if Walsall come in with an offer during the summer and someone's plus one is hoping for a future 'negotiation fee'.

it does seem a bit odd that as his parent club we don't appear to have a say, no doubt his agent will be trying to get him a move away in the summer.

Good to know. It’s definitely a recent shift though. Previously I only heard of a parent club calling back a player if they needed him not to loan out to someone else mid term. Someone’s benefiting from it somewhere.

In fairness to Mo and his agent Doncaster have changed their formation of late meaning he's had to play out wide. Walsall meanwhile have had a forward player recalled by his home club. Could have been a playing time in favoured position thing.
