    Hourihane

All Barnsley fans just knew when the ball sat up for Hourihane to volley with his left foot on the edge of the area what would happen.

A bit left field initial thread.
Not been having a drink already ??? 😊
    But hey-ho I’ll join in.
So what about Hourihane - is he in the news ???

My thoughts about Hourihane is this - and it’s more to do with him after he left other than when he played here.
I measure all midfielders against him in the role that he played ie the midfield ball player.
    Two players:
Mowatt - as slow as Hourihane - only half as good. Championship player.
Kane - much slower than Hourihane - nowhere near as good - Hourihane was Premier - Kane is 3rd tier.

If Hourihane was at Barnsley and playing as he did when he left - him alongside Connell would transform the current team.
We would definitely be much further up the league.

Scored the winner last night for Derby against Burton Nudge---a left foot volley

Took them six points clear of us.

I thought you would have your finger on the pulse.

    Hey ho.

Not unless Hourihane can defend crosses , which he can't .

    Hey ho.
Ar saw it SB and tha reight, tha just knew it wo hitting the net.

Having watched the game I wasn't impressed a great deal by Derby. They're what I'd describe as an 'efficient' side. Nowt special. Then again, neither are we. I have to say that the standard of this division is extremely poor.

Since my first game in 1988, I've not seen a division which Barnsley are involved in with such a poor standard.
