The League Table as of 29th April--

    ............Team.............P.....W....D....L.... GD....Pts

    1. Spennymoor...........21...15...1....5.....33.....4 3...(3pts deducted)

    2..Barnsley................19....14...1....4.....3 2....43

    3..South Shields.........19....12...2....5.....33....38

    4..Wallsend................18....12...2....4.....1 6...38

According to the fixture list South Shields are due to play Alnwick at home on Wednesday 1st May and Wallsend are scheduled to play Sunderland away that night so things will change before the big, big game next Sunday--

    .................................South Shields-v-Barnsley

They don't come much bigger than that. If South Shields win Wednesday evening they would be just two points behind Jess's Super Reds and an almighty battle would be set up.

Wallsend would also be 2 points behind on the same number of games played too, if they win.

    Tight finish ahead.

Two big, big results in the North East Wednesday night have the football world buzzing and fans dripping with anticipation for next weekend.

The league now tightens right up with four teams fighting for that one promotion spot.

    .................Team.............P.....W....D.... L....GD....Pts

    1....Spennymoor..............21...15...1....5....3 3....43 (3 pts deducted)

Jess's Super Reds next two fixtures are South Shields away and Wallsend away, completing their 22 game season at home to Wakefield.
