He was a great loan player for us back in 2018/19 but has had a series of injuries since then. As a free agent might still be worth a look but depends on how much we'd have to pay. Loved him when he played for us but at 34 think he is sadly past it. Still, the only way to really find out is to get him in and have a look as he knows where the back of the net is even if he's not likely to play 90 minutes.

Would be accept a weekly rolling zero hours pay as you play contract

This is probably all we can offer him

Did absolutely nothing for Stoke. Did he even score? His career is over now. Couldn’t get in the first team most weeks. Played 10 games, no goals, no assists. Would be another drain on our ever depleting resources.

It seemed to me that he was a decent signing for Stoke but he has been totally inept. Why? It cannot just be age catching up with him or can it?

Didn’t help playing in a crap Stoke side, I would have him back until the end of the season for 10/- a week, with the chances we create he’ll get 10-15 goals easy

Too old now and would want too much. As BS says - contract by games played but that would never be agreed.

Can’t be any worse than Grant though even now! I hope the West Ham kid gets an opportunity as love Asante but sadly he’s not clinical enough in front of goal. Against Wolves with so much space even my daughter would have got that one on target FFS!

His last decent season was with us. That makes a change, we usually pick them up when they are spent. Which he is now. Timing.

Not for me. Past his sell buy date I’m afraid.
