You’re right. We were never adrift and within one result of staying up.

We made a lot of money from his signings or got value for money out of them until the end of their contracts.
The wage structure was a big part of us being stable of which he worked within. We were always in a position to sign players in each transfer window.

I thought that he would struggle at Derby. Speaking to Hammy at Headingley during the cricket I asked what their expectations were for this season and he confidently said Promotion as Champions.
