Sorry to hear about your health issue, I hope it's better than manageable. Stay strong mate.
Thanks BT. The Swiss health service is brilliant, thank goodness. I have two oncologists and immediate access to whatever is needed.

You will have to put up with me for the foreseeable future!

Sounds serious does that mon ami. Given your recent medical history I would have thought the NHS would have bust a gut for you to see a specialist without any waiting. Best wishes from Bolton.

Given the obscene amounts of money governments splurge the world over on spurious vanity projects, armaments, eco lunacy etc. why research into cancer and the care of cancer patients has to depend on charitable organisations is way beyond my comprehension.
I agree sinkov. What strikes me though is the lack of long term planning and strategic nous in successive governments, with a lack of common sense. Too many vanity, short term projects dog the country. Money simply thrown away. An attitude of what Labour does, Tories will reverse and vice versa, on idealogical grounds. A lack of focus on what voters really want, which typically relates to basic needs rather than saving 15 minutes on a true journey to London. Who gives a f*ck about that?

In terms of health, a fundamental concern for all, it is perhaps a worse situation than 1947. Yes, it is free but that counts for nothing if there is no access.

Harry says his pa is very tired. Is that normal at an early stage of cancer?

If he is having chemo, tired will be an understatement, I believe. I have not had it myself (thank God) but I understand from those who have that it knocks the stuffing out of the recipient.
