O/T Best Cafs in Rotherham 70's and 80's

Used to like the one in BHS

Sausage chips and beans. They also had this weird flourescent lime coloured drink which I thought was pretty exotic at tge time.

What was your favourite cafe back in the day and what was your favourite food?

There was one upstairs above Burtons and the entrance was up the path to the church across from the back door of Boots.

    Was it called Whitehall?

Yes it was the Whitehall Cafe run by Rotherham Council. Used to love going in there. Best Shepherds Pie in Town.

Yes, Whitehall council run place. Think it had a lift up to it.
Became an Indian restaurant in mid 80’s, half decent too.
