    From David Carroll

Following on from tonights announcement at QOS AGM that the BOD are planning to step down at the end of the season , I would like to proactively create a Supporters Community Takeover of the club with the help of the Business Community in order to ensure the continuation of QOS FC beyond this season
Obviously we are in the very early stages of this but your support would be much appreciated either by message on this thread or by a PM

Having looked up Mr Carroll I can see that he is a local business man and would be the type that the current BoD would be looking to take up a position on the new board. I think that we require more details as to precisely what a Supporter Community Takeover would entail as there are a large number of shareholders which would need to brought onboard or bought out. Last night Hewitson, supported by his two other board members, said that they would be the only ones to rubber stamp the acceptance of a new board which then could be ratified by the shareholders at the following AGM. I would have thought that any replacement board should be ratified by all the shareholder possibly through an EGM for such a major change to the club.

Spike, with all due respect, - this is a massive commitment, - truly massive, - and many supporters will have no idea of what is involved, - therefore it is incumbent upon the BOD to ensure that the new BOD are fully appraised of their obligations and are capable of taking the club forward.

I don't disagree and as the outgoing board said yesterday evening the shareholders will have the opportunity to vote on the new members come the AGM. I heartily agree that the BoD are in the best position to vett and choose their successors but it is still a shareholder owned club so they should have input regarding those chosen to hopefully take the club forward.

Many thanks for your support Johnny. In the Boards statement, they said they were looking for someone younger to take over. Unfortunately, I'm older than all of them!

Davey Carroll is a decent guy ,with a good business sense ,know him well ,would be a good board member ,however we don't want the club run the same as it has been for the last 10 or so years ,just to exist ,whoever steps up needs to have some clout behind them with forward and upward thinking ambition ,guys like davey Carroll would be great to have on a board backing some money men .

I wonder if Queens Trust could be more involved?
