Will they though ? - Mr Hewitson (66) said in Friday's Courier that the current board have talked about the decision to move aside at the last two AGMs so I take it that anyone who came forward then did not fit the bill so could it be the same scenario once again ? - time will tell ! !

I think that we require more details as to precisely what a Supporter Community Takeover would entail as there are a large number of shareholders which would need to brought onboard or bought out. Last night Hewitson, supported by his two other board members, said that they would be the only ones to rubber stamp the acceptance of a new board which then could be ratified by the shareholders at the following AGM. I would have thought that any replacement board should be ratified by all the shareholder possibly through an EGM for such a major change to the club.
Not sure someone who’s already been bankrupt possibly twice should be anywhere near the club.

Hence for the need for due diligence for any candidate who applies for the board vacancies.

Hewitson isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but he’ll be a big miss at Palmerston. Yes he would have used his companies to do work in and around the place but he did that at a lower cost or at times free of charge. I think he’ll be a hard act to follow.

Unfortunately the Rangers vote & the George Galloway scandal won’t be forgotten by a section of the support so let’s see if all these mouthpieces will return now he’s leaving…. Or will they find another EXCUSE.

Two sides to any story and at the time when Gibson was being charged for a racist comment at the very least he would have been placed on gardening leave as this was bringing the club into disrepute. Although cleared of the racist rant he was still found guilty of unacceptable behaviour to a Tesco staff member. Being told not to play is also dubious as he did play himself on and off.
