Tbh I thought last night's performance was akin to the old warne sides. Plenty of closing down and fight but run out of steam at 60 minutes. Wyke and nombe could make a decent partnership given game time. Whilst wyke didn't touch the ball much his movement was far better than hugill. FFS hugill looked knackered warming up ...
    Let this season end now

Richardson finally ditched the 10 man defence, two up top,and some legs in midfield.
We had more attacks in 45 mins than we've had in the last 6 games.
Ollie was one of our best players up to the school boy error, Revan, Kioso ,Peltier, Clucas and Humphreys all played well, still not convinced about Nombe, looks bang average to me.
I'll reserve judgement on Wyke, but I remember what he was like when he has played against us many times, and let's say I wasn't impressed, but should do OK in league one.
    Viktor Johannson...simply a legend 🙌.

It's good to see so many have turned on Richardson after the initial positivity around the changes he brought. If anything, that means nobody is complaining about how we actually got into this awful state:

The poor recruitment under MT/RS which gifted us Hugill and his (obvious) minimum appearances clause, Nombe - who for all his industry, clearly isn't a natural striker in any sense, an injury prone back line full of over 30s, Andre 'what was the point of him' Green, etc.

The utter shambles after sacking MT and going into Benny Hill mode for a month despite having a break to help us out.

The clear signal of intent (or lack of) in January - which we went into on the back of two draws, one win by the way - that we're obviously not going to try to get anyone in, invest a penny, etc.

The "£7m". Where did that go? Lot's of fuss about the additional £7m if we stopped up last year... is this squad £7m more expensive?

Referees have got worse (two blatant handball goals, myriad decisions against us). The standard of the division looks a step up from much of what we saw last season. But... the club has done absolutely nothing to help itself, and has thrown out stupid distractions like that godawful song (which is older than the majority of the fans), and pointless surveys about the food (Elior are the epitome of RUFC this season) which went back to square one a few weeks after they promised to get a grip. LR is a tiny part of where we are, and working with this bunch of misfits and a huge points deficit, I doubt Pep or Warnock could do much from here.

A lot of fans have the same views Ulley. There is no ambition and no plan to move forward at this club.

Like the U in the badge at the top of this page, something/one at the club is looking in the wrong direction, we need to have everyone know their place and pull together to have just a slight chance of stopping up in Championship.

Appreciate some do. This forum seems to be full of people who shout views down if they hint at the biggest problems - and they're not Richardson.

Utter tosh. We have a new club anthem, what more do you want?

For the first hour it was a huge improvement, but then an individual error caused it to unravel and we never looked like getting back into it after that.

The bottom line is that we're simply not good enough, and the transfer window was all the proof any of us need that there's no ambition or expectation that we can/could stay up.

More generally, I'm depressed for the future. If by some miracle, we clawed our way back up again from League one (I don't think we will by the way) so what? What's the prize? Another season like this one, because nothing is ever going to change.

Not many are putting the total blame on LR. More that he shouldn’t have been brought in if we aren’t going to back him.
He’s got criticism for his approach to games which up to last night was negative and never going to get us a result unless we got lucky eg Middlesbrough at home. Sacking MT was supposed to give us a fighting chance to stay up. LR tactics have taken us backwards in that the one thing we had under MT was a chance at home. Just because he’s new doesn’t make him exempt from criticism.
You make some valid points about the philosophy and how we approach things. I agree with a lot of it.
Many people are to blame for the state we are in now.
LR will be judged for the performances on the pitch and yes he’s inherited a difficult situation however has he set us up to try and win a game?
No he hasn’t and he’s responsible for that.
Last night was better and have a go that’s all we ask.
