    Swansea v Ipswich

    Swans v Ipswich Sat 17 Feb 15:00
After last nights shambles we are down to 17th in the table, seven points away from a relegation place.
All the other teams below us have a game in hand as it stands before Wednesday night’s matches.
Ipswich are in action at Millwall, so they have a day less preparation time before they play us.
Ipswich are a different proposition to Leeds in that they are wavering a bit in form lately, hopefully that helps us. Ipswich have lost only one of their last six games but have drawn four of them. I would take the draw now if offered, every point is precious in our predicament.
Our home form this season has been dreadful, only four wins from six**** games, just seven**** goals scored, twenty three against, and they wonder why attendances are down. Who wants to go and watch their team play knowing they’ll probably lose.
Hope springs eternal as they say so we have to try and be optimistic and give the new coach time.

    Swansea 1 (Yates 31’) - Ipswich 2 (Broadhead 13’, Chaplin 35’)

Thankfully we won at Hull, our only league win in seven matches under the new coach’s tenure, otherwise we would be sitting one point off a relegation place tonight.
A disastrous start to a job in anybody’s book.
Today was a better showing commitment and intensity wise but elementary defensive mistakes have let us down all season and it was Groundhog Day again today as we gifted Ipswich two goals.
We had a transfer window to put this right but instead brought in three wingers and then decide to just play one.
The head coach insists on playing a high line leaving our slow centre backs vulnerable and exposed to pace.
He risks getting us relegated for his principles. Why can’t he see that we haven’t got the players to play his system.

Hello boys, have you missed me? Been on hols to sunnier climes.
Caught the match yesterday. I thought we put up a good fight but Ipswich were the better team.
Shocking defending is letting us down and will take us down. Williams is a clone of Martin and just as stubborn.
Can’t he see that we haven’t got the players to play a high line and are getting caught out every match, nothings changes.
Play to your players strength and formation, like Sheehan did, until we are safe THEN play about as much as you want.
He’s treading on treacherous ground and gambling with the future of this club, please stop it!!!

Couldn’t agree more Estoban. Full backs/wingers way up field leaves our central defenders exposed and vulnerable.
We need to play a tight defensive game as we need points badly. QPR and Sheff Wed winning on Saturday has put us only four points away from the relegation zone.

Bottom club Rotherham gave Ipswich a fright last night before going down 4-3 to a 95’ minute goal at Portman Road.
