Well just east of kingspark....between garage and school?....room for a ground, access may have upset you a bit Islay 😆

Is that the piece of ground which you can see from Clepington Road.
If so there is barely enough ground to fit in a football stadium let alone car parking.
It might have been fine sixty years ago when most people took public transport or walked to Dens Park but these days sadly are now over as most people take their car to go to Dens Park.
These new parking rules around Dens Park and Tannadice Park have resulted in the streets further away from both stadiums being full of parked cars every time there is a home game at Dens or Tannadice.
Nelms in his interview stated that one of his reasons for wanting a new stadium at Camperdown was the new parking rules around Dens Park on match days.
In my opinion Nelms is now clutching at straws to try to justify his new stadium as these rules were not in place in July 2016 when Dark Blue Property Holdings Limited purchased their Campy Nou site.

Nelms also stated in the interview that there was 400 coats of paint on the Archibald Leitch Main Stand at Dens Park.
That is a lot of rubbish.
When I helped to clean the bird sh1t off the seats in the Main Stand in July 2022 some of the metal at the back of the Main Stand beside the Press Box was bare metal with the paint having worn away thanks to the management of Dundee Football Club’s failure to ensure that the Dens Park Stadium is being fully maintained.

Surprised at that - always had you down as the Ferry / Monifieth / Carnoustie type - Invergowrie at a push but certainly not as someone that actually lived in Dundee - no idea where I got that impression from mind.

I'm also disheartened to hear you're within walking distance of that location because it means you're probably within walking distance of where I live. Given your history of asking people in The Coxy if they knew me or where I sat that's a concern for me.

Probably why it ruled out building a stadium in such an exclusive area.

On this you are correct but not for the reason you've stated. The Main Stand at Dens was usually painted approximately every two to three years. For it to have 400 coats of paint it would need to be between 800 and 1,200 years old which simply isn't the case.

The minimum average thickness of a coat of paint on a steel structure (as per EN ISO 1461) is 85 microns or 0.085mm. 400 coats of paint would therefore mean, assuming the old paint was not blasted off at every recoating, that there would be around 34mm of paint on the steel structures of The Main Stand. I'm not sure that's the case.

More lies by John Nelms? Or simply exaggerating to make a point?

Giving that you crossed him on more than one occasion I’d worried, maybe invest in a ring doorbell
