Having a cow farting in the arrangement always seemed so Notts County

The media couldn't mention Notts County in those days without putting 'unfashionable' before it.

Stick to your rap music. A real classic, I still have the original record.

Always brings back great memories to hear this. If you'd been, for example, a Sky Blue singing "City, Man City, City's the team....." I've no doubt this record would now be widely recognised as a football classic. Obviously not a Bert Bacharach-Hal David standard, but for the purpose it was written, it works. The club should be proud of it, the soundtrack to scaling the heights no other Notts side has reached in 99 years.

    da,da, da-da-da, da-da-da-da COUN-TY!!!

it is a song that certainly brings back fond memories. However !, it does not take away from the fact that it is one God awful song !!!

Must admit it wouldn't make my playlist, but you can't fault Jimmy Willan's devotion to the cause. He also did a Euro 96 Three lions anthem tribute called '2 Pies on the shirt'. When I was looking that up I discovered he also wrote a Jimmy and Jack song in aid of the statue fund which I had never heard before:

Proud to think that when I'm gone, the statue will still bear my name.
