Honourable mention to Ritchie, he gave us a point there.

Where has the defensive fortress from last season gone. We were the best defense statistically for much of last year?

Lost Pope - Trips head gona on occassion - lost Botman for a chunk - Teams know how to target Burn now - J7 being out and giving the protection.

That back 5 were, collectively, quite a lot better than the sum of their parts.

if you accept that premise then it's not too big a jump to recognise that the reverse could equally well be true.

Yeah, Joe loss is a massive factor as was Pope.

Poor performance and Bournemouth probably deserves 3 points on good chances created.

Ref was poor… let Bournemouth get away with a lot then think (was diagonally right over from where I was sitting) he bottled what should have been a quick second yellow card for a player at the end of the first half?

Generally, we are too slow going forward… Longstaff is a large part of slowing down the attack…I just think he’s a poor man’s Scott Parker… but we let Bournemouth reset and we had little to no movement that really had any chance of breaking down their low block.

Clearly none of Gordon/Barnes/Miggy are strikers… running with ball and picking their moment to shoot is one thing, receiving the ball and getting a shot off before a Prem defense can react… nope.

Thought Miley was probably our best player, especially in the second half where he was putting in some strong tackles, but some of his passes were our best moments n terms of possible attack.

As he fills out and puts on another 10-20kg of muscle he’s got the potential to be one hell of a box to box player.

Dead right Viking, ok so he gave a goal away with an unfortunate slip but I thought he done ok. Our midfield is SO slow man,Bruno doesn’t look fit, Longstaff, grrrrrrr, worst performance for a long time.

Bruno is playing within himself as he is avoiding a yellow card… that said, he’s got less than 5% of not getting a card against the gunners, so he should be back to form soon but we’ll miss him for Blackburn and Wolves most likely.

Hopefully Willock will be back soon, but once Bruno comes back then Howe will be faced soon with a couple of decisions that will get questioned…

    Burn for Tino?
    Longstaff or Miley for Willock?

I just hope to god we don’t risk Isak next weekend (as in if any doubt leave him out for the 1 game and reassess) because if he goes out again with another groin setback from being rushed back too soon that would be the start of a lot of real heat for Howe.

We’re not likely to win at the Emirates if we are honest, we need to focus on getting a fit Isak for the remainder of the season or we have a real chance of dropping down to the bottom half.
