It’s a fair point Sinkov makes regarding 8 games and I agree BT we were so bad in this game that it was infuriating , my only questions would be and Sub will have the stats I’m sure , In our season and others at the bottom if you concede 2 goals or more how many times does the team win or draw afterwards.

We start most games positively even Saturday the first 3 minutes we were pushing but without any end product - I sometimes think we train without goalposts if you removed Odebert what would we actually create.?

It takes me back to people slagging of Mcneil but the opposition knew he was our best - only chance of creating short of a set piece - they smothered him and the crowd got on his back.

We are very similar now but not cohesive defensively so we just slip into losses a lot.

Got to agree with you about McNeil army88, him, Pickford and Tarkowski are keeping the Toffees alive right now.

With relegation almost certain for the Clarets in season 2023/4, it is still possible to take some positives from what has been from a Burnley fan’s perspective a terribly torrid season.

Players like Trafford, O’Shea, Vitinho, Ekdal, Beyer, Al-Dakhil, Odobert, Amdouni, Ramsey, Foster & Koleosho will all have surely benefitted from a season of playing in the English Premier League. If the Clarets can retain them all at Turf Moor for the 2024/5 campaign, the group will undoubtedly form the nucleus of a very effective and title challenging Championship side.

It is also worth remembering the Clarets will still have under contract Berge, Costelloe, Delcroix, Twine, McNally, Weghorst, Muric, Vigouroux, Dodgson, Egan Riley, Mellon, Benson, Zaroury, Brownhill, Cullen, JBG, Massengo & Obafemi. With that amount of “wiggle room” it cannot be all doom & gloom – can it?

Having noted how Vincent Kompany has operated in the past, I assume Bailey Peacock Farrell, Charlie Taylor, Connor Roberts, Jack Cork, Jay Rodriguez, Bruun Larsen, Mike Tresor, Samuel Bastien, Darko Churlinov have or will be permanently leaving the building.

It will, however, be interesting to see what the future will hold for the loan pairing of Lorenz Assignon and Maxime Esteve. I hope we can at least secure Assignon on a 4-year contract, he looks like the real deal to me.

FFS mon ami, I've seen more ****e displays from Burnley teams over the years than I've had hot dinners, I once spent 48 hours driving up from the south of France one cold, foggy, wet and windy December to see us lose 6-2 at home to Rotherham, so a spanking off the Arsenal is hardly going to get me chucking my toys out of the pram. And my post wasn't referring to the Arsenal debacle, it was about the previous eight games.

Ah yes, the 2-6 against Rotherham on 14/12/2002. My Burnley supporting father had died during the night and I thought, I hope the lads get a result for him today. Well, they did of sorts. If memory serves, two ex-Burnley players scored a brace apiece - I give you John Mullin and Alan Lee. Oh well.

A sad tale Warmy. Not the send off you wanted for your Dad. I remember the result but I definitely wasn’t at the game. I honestly haven’t got a clue how we will do against post-Roy Palace. I thought we would put up more of a fight against the Gunners.
