    Premier League - Brentford FC Owner Open to Selling Majority Stake in the Club.

    Brentford FC owner Matthew Benham is open to selling a majority stake
    in the club, seeking a fee of £400m.

    Having invested in the club in 2007 - Then taking full control in 2012.
    Benham has bankrolled the clubs rise from league one to the premier
    league, with promotion to the premier league in 2021.

    Matthew Benham has hired Rothschild to oversee the process.

    Let’s pull an approximate figure out and say Tony values the club at £30 Million.

    Why then won’t he let someone get onboard with him and invest for £10 Million or 33.3% of the shares? There have been at least four offers for the club in total, I know this because he told me himself.

    Why the closed shop? Does he fear a total eventual takeover letting others in? Is he making more than what’s disclosed by owning the club therefore having no reason to sell up?

    So long as he’s financially happy with the day to day running of the club is that it? Do we take it on the chin another season where we will always yo yo from season to season?
