We didn’t have a list of transfer targets then, but we do now courtesy of a recruitment team and scouting network. The problem was solved by recruiting Rob Scott. We learnt from our mistakes. Neil taking so long to say no wouldn’t have helped preparing for that season
Regardless of that a target list of players isn’t much help if players like Lee Gregory wanted £10k a week (2016 prices) and a 4 year deal. Those type of demands could have surfaced after Rufc made some concrete enquiries. Not forgetting a six figure signing on fee.
My recollection was that LG refused to join us anyway so that isn’t TS,s fault
Expensive acquisitions and players flatly refusing to sign for us regardless of money regularly frustrated our two previous managers. Nothing new here.
