A clean sheet and goalless draw against the table toppers is a good result for Charlton against Pompey.

There were chances on both sides and Daniel Kanu very nearly scored in the opening minutes. Defending was more committed with Isted proving his worth in goal and Lloyd Jones marshalled their attacking players well.

Whereas the Add1cks badly need a win, it's an encouraging sign that Nathan Jones is getting the best out of his players and they are now putting in a committed shift and may that continue against Derby.
