Coventry or Leicester at home in the next round would be perfect.

Didn’t see or listen to the game but on reading this thread I get an idea (!) of how we played.

Playing sh*te and winning, especially away, cannot be bad. I’d rather still be in the cup while we try to find our form again.

We were really, really poor, man. Agree about wanting to still be in it but, on the evidence of tonight, that won't last past the next round.

Baffling how a team who can be as good as we know we can be, can be so far off those levels.

Dubs was tremendous, more minutes for Willock, and Anderson back too.
Other than that, hard to pick up too many positives from the performance, but through to the next round and thats all that matters.
In all honesty, give us Man City or Liverpool at home in the next round. If we are going to win it, we will ultimately have to beat one of those two and we'd need home advantage to do it as they'll tear us a new one at Wembley.

That’s a good point. Most people are hoping for Coventry at home.
Also the European games will be back on around the quarter-finals of the FA cup.
Personally I’d love to knock Liverpool out (we owe them) so a home draw against them next would be a chance.

I think the scousers will win everything this season, they look unbeatable even with injuries. They beat Chelsea with an under 21 side almost. I know the kids came on late but they hadn’t beat them at that point. Praying they draw City in the next round, City don’t scare me as much as the scousers!

Aye all good points well made.
I agree with your want for the next round Batter liverpool but would prefer a home tie with Cov.
Good minutes for everyone coming back. Great show from Dubz!

If ever there was a Newcastle United Cup performance, that was it.
Dominated possession, didn't play well, couldn't buy a pass, conceded a daft goal, went to penalties.

Always easy being a NUFC fan isn't it haha Don't we just love it.

This is the $hit dreams are made of! HOWAY THE LADS
