Stags record against MKD is almost as bad as ours, 7 league meetings and 6 without a win since 2006. It was of course MKD that ruined their Flitcroft season, beating them 1-0 and replacing Stags in the promotion places on the final day of the season in 2019....that must have been agonising..... and Stags still have to play them again towards the end of this season. The warning signs that they might crash yet again on the final bend are shining that much brightly through the Nottinghamshire fog this morning.

Our next opponents Wimbledon didn't have a great result, 0-0 at home to relegation battling Grimsby. though that is their 2nd successive clean sheet for the 2nd best defence in the division.

The problem Mansfield have is that they won't be able to increase their attendances like Lincoln have because there's simply no more room. They'll have 5,000 ST holders then about 1800 away fans which a fair chunk of League One clubs will fill and then about 1000 match by match tickets. They'll go straight back down I'm fairly certain of it.

It hasn’t stopped the likes of Luton and Bournemouth doing ok with small crowds.
