Ogren seems to have lost his interest since the St Andrews Golf Course thing got knocked back a couple of years ago if we’re being brutally honest………

Like that lot up the road, are the intentions actually to ‘use’ the Clubs to facilitate entry to other, and maybe more potentially lucrative, parts of the local economy…………….

I think MO was enthusiastic over United to start with. He’s certainly spent a huge amount of money trying to make it work.

The golf course was more of a sideline I think than the main project. He sold that on to someone who could make it work. Hopefully he’ll do same with United with this Matthew Benham link

I think the Brentford owner has a good track record, if he is interested I don’t know

At least it would be someone who knows football in charge
When I say local owners, I'm not meaning foreigners who live here. When Jim McLean was the manager the ownership/board of directors at that time is something we should be looking to get back to. Who had the majority of shares at that time? We were careful with our money and very much had the biscuit-tin mentality. In doing so we didn't have a wage structure that was broken to bring in underachieving players getting paid far too much. We enjoyed success through building a team where players stuck up for one another and all lived relatively close to one another.

More gossip, though no hard news

United 1 of 4 teams being looked at by Liverpool owners. Seemingly valued between 8-12 mill. Cheapest of the 4 clubs. Toulouse one of the other clubs valued between 42-68 mill. No doubt there will be other links in the pipe line.

    Not quite correct.

"Dundee United have been identified as a potential target to be bought by the owners of Liverpool, according to data experts. Sports tech company Prospect, which utilises AI to aid experts within the field, have revealed who they believe the leading targets could be, compiling a four-club shortlist. They are are – Toulouse (France), KVC Westerlo (Belgium), Gil Vicente (Portugal) and United".

🤔 is that not what I said. 1 of 4 clubs? Not saying there is any substance. At this rate almost every English premiership club will be interested in our club.

Your post reads as if we're being looked at by Liverpools owners. We're not. It's been suggested by a data expert company that we are an attractive prospect to a club like Liverpool.

If a data company has identified United as a good prospect then its is perhaps no surprise Brentford and Brighton have been linked as both clubs are very data orientated, therefore will be aware of all this. It should be added both clubs are very well run and successful in their modelling.
