Surely in our City there are good business people who are also aware of the workings of professional football.
I'm afraid we've got used to rank bad management over the years, such has been the norm.
It's not rocket science but you'd think it was the amount of clangers that have been dropped.
We're still trying to get over Asghar, it was a bad day for the Club when he walked thro the door.

It is do-able, I'm sure it is.
I'd give it a go but I don't have any money!
I think the good business people of this city know fine well what it takes to run a football club and are not willing to jeopardize their hard earned.

The difference between fan ownership and local ownership versus Club owners like Brentford and Brighton is knowing how to bring in players for £x and selling them later for x times 3. That means knowing the various markets in detail and having good contacts to see who would be available at what cost from their network.

I agree that local ownership is ideal as a second option but how many would want to gamble on us, not many if any.

But it can be done, it can be profitable. We're so used to it not making a profit that the concept of turning the red figures black is alien.
Where's someone with the guts to do it?

Yeah it can be done and profitable, but it could also end up with a lunatic with the keys, or on the other hand getting a return of 6p in the pound! Some say there is nout as canny as Scots and Yorkshiremen!

Profitability hinges on A staying in the Premiership and B regularly producing players that can be sold on for significant fees.
I would argue that B depends on A

    Ogren has done neither.

Its possible that a local business consortium could do A but they would have to rely on getting it 100% right to do B as well.
Guys that own the likes of Brentford have proven history of doing both A and B. I think it would be a major step forward for the club and I don't think it suddenly makes us a feeder club either.

they'll look at the fun and see how pathetic they've been for 50 years as a city club, a minter and look at the club with the much better league, cup and euro record over that period with better stadium and bigger support who are about to bounce back from an avoidable and self inflicted relegation

..see the trouble with takeover chat, the owner is trying to put us in the shop window, so I would be taking all these conversations and leaked details with a big pinch of salt! I mean, the Liverpool story was literally someone saying that data would suggest that someone like Liverpool might be interested in investing!!!! I am sure there are interested parties...but we are gonna hear some absolute pie in the sky bullsh1t over the next few weeks!
