Blimey, I was chair of the LB for a few months before I moved to Bristol but didn’t set up a Bristol twig. Fair play to them though, still Carlisle loud and proud since 1973.

Fair play to Simmo for turning up for this as he could easily have said that his mind was on the game and so couldn’t make the meeting,I’ve always had respect for the people who turn up to face the music when things aren’t going well than those who chase the accolades
Carlisle have 11 games left (I did the maths griff) and are 15 points from safety so surely they have to brace themselves for the drop?
What’s the chances of Simmo surviving the chop come May or would he be worth keeping on in a division lower and some financial backing?
Sorry for not replying sooner Chalky, been busy. Simmo’s a Carlisle bloke so he’s been cut some slack. The fanbase is divided over whether he should stay or go; my own opinion is that if he was to go it should have been a month ago, now it’s too late for this season. He’s the right fit for the Club but is he for the players? Also the new owners are an unknown quantity. They can’t know how things work yet, surely, though they’ll no doubt be taking advice. It looks like they’re sticking with Simmo for the minute but they’ll’ want a return for the money they’re spending at some point - the question is when will that point be reached. They look like they’re here for the long term so we’ll wait and see. The financial backing is ther already and EFL2 should be a doddle for him. Shouldn’t it?
I’m not gonna state the obvious about L2 being a doddle as I’m sure that you know it won’t be easygoing, look at Notts who have fantastic owners and good quality players for L2 (except defence) and are in mid table, what looks good on paper doesn’t always transfer onto the pitch
You are right about it being to late to get rid of Simmo at this point as ironically he’s probably the best man for the job of avoiding the drop but I would be nervous if I was him come May,are there any details on how much will be invested in players for next season or is it all a bit hearsay?
Definitely money there, plus a large wedge for new training facilities and stadium upgrades are already underway. They’ll be wanting improved performances to reflect their investment.
