I doubt that. Mutual in this case likely means that they came to a mutually convenient arrangement. In other words, he was paid off for most, if not all of, the remainder of his contract, told to b***** off and they then signed a confidentiality agreement. But Warnock, in his closing speech, basically said that he’d set up everything nicely for the new incoming manager. Such *******s.

anyone else hearing that he had a disagreement with Cormack earlier in the week?
Don't shoot the messenger i just heard that "story" from a mate this morning no idea if it is true, but that being said I would not be surprised in the slightest if it is.
Our w@ankstain of a chairman is so full of his own ego with his head rammed so far up his own @rse it is fkn frightening.
Joke of a club being ran by a bigger joke of a chairman and joke of a board, we are going nowhere fast under this current "leadership" (nae laughing up the back of the bus)

The only surprising thing about that is why give him the cup game if there was a falling out? You would have imagined DC telling him to poke it if he was intent on going.

I didn't mind Warnock, I know why some didn't, but he didn't bother me. I'm sure he will be using his profile to spill the beans about what really happened in the coming weeks. No chance it remains private.

See club statement just issued below. At the bottom they say they are just about to start interviews and hope to have a new manager in place by the international break. So it looks pretty certain that Warnock has told them where to stick the job with Leven back in charge for at least the next two games.

It's just a Clownshow with Cormack playing the part of the chief clown

The Club can provide the following update to supporters regarding the appointment of a new permanent manager and the recently commissioned football review.

Chief Executive Alan Burrows commented: “At the turn of the year, the Club instructed a football consultancy group, BPTC, headed by Bernhard Peters, to conduct a holistic review of our football operation.

“Bernhard is widely recognised as one of the most successful youth academy / high performance architects in the industry. He has a storied reputation in the Bundesliga, having previously served as Sporting Director for Hamburger SV and Director of high performance for TSG Hoffenheim.

“BPTC themselves currently consult with a raft of top clubs, coaches, and national associations across the globe.

“They very recently completed their audit and submitted a comprehensive report which we have reviewed with them. We are extremely pleased that their report has validated a lot of very good policy, practice, and robust processes already in place within the Club’s academy and wider football department.

“They have also identified several key areas of opportunity that would substantially enhance our current set up and are now working with us on the next phase which will, amongst other things:

Implement certain structural changes within our football set up.
Implement new and additional policy, practices, and processes that will further strengthen all levels of player training and development, player pathway, scouting and recruitment and football performance.
Assist in the recruitment of a new First Team Manager and the addition of a new Technical Director to support the Director of Football.
“Clearly, the number one priority is the engagement of our new First-Team Manager.

“The Club, working with our partners, have compiled a shortlist with a combination of individuals we have identified that meet the key criteria we have agreed, and individuals that have expressed serious interest in the role.

“We plan to conduct a number of interviews this week and, in certain cases, seek permission to do so where managers are under contract elsewhere.

“Our aim is to appoint a First Team Manager during the upcoming international break. In the meantime, Peter Leven will continue in interim charge, assisted by Scott Anderson and Craig Samson.”

Yeah. Warnock has definitely told them where to stick it .

Came in , saw what a mess the palce was, tried out every permutation possible with the players he was stuck with, and realised he couldn`t improve it. Meanwhile Cormack & Gunn chelping in his ear in the background , mouthing modern technobabble speak about percentages and technical performance data.............. Old fashioned football manager who calls a spade a spade thinks " Feck this for a game of monkeys. Stuck at the other end of the Country from my wife and retirement cottage, in an apartment on my own and expected to work miracles,....Naw. Not again. "

What the FMB have got now is an almighty problem in getting any sensible potential manager , who is on an upward curve in his career , to come to a Club that has a track record of sacking manager after manager ?

It will either have to be another newbie who will take the risk, or err, well , that`s it. NO experiencd manager with a decent track record will touch them ?

( woner if the recent Fotheringham news issues was him trying to line up the chance ? He has had and will keep getting better jobs via the Bundesligue. But as he mentioned he & Family still live in Scotland, that might be the main reason we could have a chance to recruit him ? )

Well that statement is certainly confirmation Warnock quit or was sacked.

No way it’s “mutual” with no manager immediately ready to go & Leven by all accounts not really wanting the interim job.

Ok, it also says a Technical Director comes in, but if the Director of Football role stays heavily involved in the football side - & it remains Gunn - then frankly, the credibility of the “review process” will be zero with the fans…

The clubs in a mess from top to bottom and it’s down to Cormack.Yet another embarrassing saga for him.

The way it was portrayed on Saturday was that Warnock was stepping aside because we were away to appoint the new manager.

Now they are saying they are away to start interviewing candidates this week.Thats not close to appointing anyone at all,the guys they are wanting to interview might not even want the job.

Looks to me that Warnock has had enough of the sh1t show we are in and can’t work with Cormack and his puppets. Is any decent manager out there going to work with them?

Looks like that review was a waste of time as well.Instead of firing Gunn they are taking in someone to support him in his job, what a load of shyte.

Sad end to a strange time, was genuinely excited when he was announced - just like pretty much every other manager we've had. He was unlucky a few times, shades away from what we'd call a success. I think the shaking head exit was probably down to him being frustrated that things didn't go better with him in charge.

Cormack has one last chance really to turn things around, they have said that commercial operations etc are in a much better place which I'm not really sure about - our debt is growing again no? But the most critical part of the club is the football operation and it should not have taken this long to sort things out

Why was this review of the club not done when he first took over - wouldn't that have made more sense?

Regardless - get a proper established successful manager in, a proper tech. director/ DoF whatever you want to call it - someone to help the manager who knows football and Peter Leven to win the cup and we'll speak no more about a sorry episode in our history
