We could win the league without beating RR, or we may only win the one that matters most, the last one, still doesn't guarantee anything of course
I do wonder if some fans really followed Utd, 95/96 we beat Dunfermline three times mid season including a 3-1 and a 4-0 but April they snuck 1-0 at Tannadice to get top spot and consign us to 2nd
Football for you, it'll have twists yet however, focus on our job tomorrow, hopefully be full strength and this injury rumour isn't true, get the 3 pts before Inverness next week
Then again....
Can we give the blizzard of stats a rest! All that matters is winning the next game 🙈
I remember that season well. The scores against Dunfermline in the league were 0-3 0-1 2-2 and our only win 3-1 at home. The 4-0 win was Challenge Cup and 1-0 Scottish Cup.
Very similar scenario to this season in the league, Dunfermline played horrible hammer throwing football and we had a squad full of quality but they still won the league.
Think this nails it. If we had delivered in the games where we failed to turn up we wouldn't be having to worry about Raith.
eg that shocking performance at Hampden
But it's in our hands, we just need to focus on each game.
Can't put my finger on it but I sense a new determination to get this league won. The players were absolutely together and really pumped at the final whistle at Cappielow. Arbroath brushed aside, a poor Arbroath yes, so let's get over to Dunfermline and get the points.
Just to add I've never been to a United match in my life. Started supporting them last Thursday 😄
Airdrie did equalise that day at East End Park to make it 1-1 while we were 2-1 up at Greenock. For about 15 mins we were winning the league until within the space of about two mins Morton equalised and Dunfermline went back in front. As you said, it was then a nervy as phuck last 10 mins to make sure we even just got in to the play offs……………….
