We must try and remember those wins at Hull and Sunderland and the home win against West Brom, teams at the top end of the table.
We are capable of beating these teams so I don’t know what is going wrong in some matches but the Bristol defeat was shockingly bad football by both sides, with us making the defensive error for the only goal. Cabango the culprit this time, leaving Dickie unmarked. It seems they take it in turns to screw up.
All we can hope for as fans is that the team get their mojo back for Saturday, play like they did at Bristol and they won’t be forgiven.
Cardiff are back on form after a bad run and beat Ipswich last time out so it’s going to be hard.
There’s a two week International break after that match and we don’t want to spend that period rueing a defeat.

Swansea 2 (Cullen 34’, Lowe 96’) - Cardiff 0
A missed penalty by Cullen but we still managed to overcome a strangely subdued Cardiff team. It was probably the best we’d played all season though and it’s amazing what this team can do when motivated. They now need to put the same effort into the remaining eight games left of the season and finish as high as we can. There are a lot of players out of contract this summer and they need to earn that new one. No games for two weeks for yet another International break and more opportunities for LW to get his ideas across and into practice. Well done to the players today for breaking Cardiff’s four game winning streak and preserving our record as the only double-double derby winners.

Well that was a turn up for the books. Following the walking football at Bristol the previous week we looked fully charged up for this one.
In contrast Cardiff looked out of sorts after that surprise win over Ipswich. Besides being the local derby, the three points was much needed with teams below us winning last week. This week only Watford won, the others either drew or lost. Sheff Wed, our next opponents, got thumped 6-0 by Ipswich in this crazy league where any team can beat the other.

What an enjoyable day boys, couldn’t have been more perfect. Didn’t even mind getting soaked walking to the car or the blow of the rugby boys getting beat by the other team in blue. Onwards and upwards.
