From a Lions fan, yes, you deserved the win but bear in mind your whole team cost a fortune, mega millions so do not get too carried away. Where as we have a limited budget but good luck in the Prem with all the divas on £350k a week some of them, are ridiculous, and enjoy the Var.Personally i like the Championship.

Cheers Claw. Fully appreciate how the PL money creates imbalance albeit Farke inherited a changing squad with lots of wantaways - about 8 or 9 players left - way more than Saints and Southampton.

Our better players have largely come though the u21 set up even if we signed them to progress or are just home grown.

Agree that the game is better for no VAR - flows much better.

Btw, just in case you weren't able, I thought I'd help out with the ""mega millions" of last years transfers.....those of note....

    Piroe - 14m

    Ampadu 8.1m

    Gruev 6.5m

    Kamara 5.8m

    So about £35m

I'll grant you that's a bit more than the paltry £6.5m you spent (hardly "mega millions"), but then again, you need to invest to improve, and you need to improve, a lot.

We also sold Adams and Sinisterra for more than that

Anyone else notice how much better Rodon and Ampadu played for 90 minutes (not that they were bad at all before) having had a break.

Rodon was magnificent and thought he had as much of a shout for MoM as Rutter for all the good work at the back and bringing out the ball he did.

An old-fashioned no nonsense defender. Always switched on and shouting directions. Tough choice, but he would be very close to our best buy for mine, given our goals conceded record so far.

Too bad we've not bought him yet though...
