Just had a thought. How much rain should it be possible to cope with on a football pitch? 12mm per hour is less than half an inch per hour. If that is an acceptable drainage rate does that mean 48mm in an hour should be cleared in 4 hours? John Nelms seemed to be struggling to make the case for delaying KO. Perhaps he was right?
