O/T Never too late to receive any mail

Our postie has just called to deliver our mail...yes at 7.05pm!

Cutbacks? Just woke up for his round? Doubling up on overtime? Whatever it is, I've never received post at this time of day....how strange!

It's a 24 hour world now Brin. Not unusual to get Amazon/FedEx deliver here at 2am in the night although the usual 'postie' does tend to come around the same time every day with the same junk it seems.

They wouldn't dare deliver at 2am in Rotherham for fear of being turned over....or getting told to **** off!

Unfortunately they aren't given a choice in most cases as they are just 'gig workers' (many of them women) who are sometimes doing it as a 2nd job and it's if you don't do it someone else will. Plenty of examples, some fatal unfortunately, of them coming across armed robbers.
