EFL Championship - US Private Equity Firm Buy 40% Stake in Ipswich Town FC

EFL Championship - Ipswich Town Football Club

US Private Equity Firm Bright Path Sports Partners have bought a 40% stake in
championship club Ipswich Town, at a cost of 'up to £105m'.

As a result, majority shareholder ORG has reduced its stake from 90% to 50%.

The deal will result in Bright Path co-founder Jake Zahnow & Sam Simon whose
company is the primary funder, joining the board at Portman Road.

Zahnow, said they had looked at teams all over the World, for possible investment
opportunities, but having held talks with Ipswich Town, they " Stopped Looking ".

US Investment Fund ORG bought the club via a new company, Gamechanger 20 LTD
from previous owner Marcus Evans in April 2021.

Investment £105m for 40% of the club

Brings the total valuation to £262.5m for 100% of the club, between investors.

This if the numbers are correct.

Main investor - US Investment Fund ORG - ie Gamechanger 20 Ltd

Said, their plan when they bought 90% of Ipswich Town Football Club, was to take the
club into the EFL Championship, then bring in other investors.

    Which they have done.

    Ipswich Town sale

Owners ORG have sold a 40% share to US private equity firm Bright Path Sports Partners for around £100 million. One of first priorities will be a state of the art training facility.
