Born in Swansea of Welsh parents. When only four weeks old moved to Herefordshire as dad was in Herefordshire Police Force prior to WW2. Lived there until 18 when I went to City of Leicester Teacher Training College and stayed there. Hence ‘Leicesterbaggie.’ Live in a small village about eight miles outside the city.

Both my parents came from Smethwick and the main hospital for them at that time I was born was St Chads on the Hagley Road so actually I'm a brummie, but if my Dad found out I supported anyone else but the Albion I'd probably be put up for adoption

Born and grew up in Quinton. Mom was from Manchester and Dad north Birmingham. My great great grandfather on Dad’s side was a coal miner in Tipton. I was a student in Coventry for 5 years. Got my first job in Es*** in 1976. I really disliked the place and was determined to get enough money to leave but it never happened and I am still here.

I was born in Birmingham, parents were living on Kingsbury Road, Erdington, at the time. Moved to Halesowen when I was 7 or 8. I went to Sebright School near Kidderminster and then, for 6th form, Halesowen Grammar School. After getting married, lived in Kidderminster, Lichfield and then Kettering (still here). We came to Kettering when I took a job with Barclaycard in Northampton. My Dad was a rugby fan and it was a neighbour in Halesowen that took me to my first football match, at the Albion, and I have been hooked ever since!

What did you do at Barclaycard Kets?

My dad worked for Barclay’s for Mercantile Credit from 67 until 2000.

He was a rep for them and worked on the road dealing mainly with car garages who offered his company’s credit services to customers.

    He also did repossessions.

When I was 17 I came home to find a Pontiac car parked on our drive at home, when I went inside he told me he’d bought it for me.

I was gullible enough to believe him and gutted when he collapsed in laughter!
