Birmingham City FC - Buy Land for New Multi Sports Super Stadium

Birmingham City FC - Buy Land for new Multi Sports Super Stadium.

Birmingham City FC have bought 48 acre former Wheels Adventure Park at Bordesley Green,
the club it is understood intends to create a multi sports super stadium.

Birmingham council own the site, the deal has been agreed as part of the struggling city
council's mass sell off of land & property, to help fund redundancies & equal pay claims.

Up to 3,000 jobs will be created as part of the masterplan for the site, according to council
    documents.
The former Wheels Adventure Park was home to motor racing & kart circuits, before it
    closed in 2021.
Birmingham City FC have been linked with the site since Birmingham council brought back
the site into the councils ownership in 2019.

Birmingham City FC owners Knighthead & its figurehead Tom Wagner, have invested £20m
in patching up the clubs St Andrews stadium, but this was viewed as a short term solution.

Birmingham council confirm the sale of the freehold to a developer, a £19m grant funded
clean up of the site, will go ahead as part of the deal.

Wolverhampton bussinessman Lyndon Rushby made a previous bid for the land, but this
    was rejected by Birmingham council.

    Thoughts -
Should the FA get involved with plan, & build a super football stadium, to bring games up
    North, away from Wembley stadium.

Isn't that part of Radcliffe's plan for the new Old Trafford?

Yes I saw that mate, but don't you think Birmingham would be a better option for a stadium, with
    the road links for fans.

Club bought by Knighthead Capital Management, said to be worth $9bn

Tom Wagner at the helm at the club, who is a millionaire, he's brought American football legend Tom Brady into the project.

Knighthead are buying the land not BCFC.
There is a difference between the club and the chairman or one of his companies developing the stadium complex!
