A couple of real scratchy performances in a row doesn't make you feel great...but 3 points and the crusade continues. Still think we are up against it though! 😀
And don't underestimate that late James goal either...when you look at the current PD in the race to the line! 🤔

    Yes, hull gave everything.
Question is though, do they give everything in every game?

Local teams see us as their major event

Just had a look at the fixtures, Ipswich have Hudds last game; will they do us a big favour or be resigned to going down and make no effort

Credit where it’s due - Firpo was excellent today all over the pitch - won a few crucial headers in defence.

They still have to play Ipswich late on, but the 6th spot may be mathematically out of reach by then sadly.

We were very fortunate that with just about the only real attacking move of the entire second half, Summerville earned a penalty. The score at 2-1 was what made it inevitable that a last gasp corner would lead to their keeper coming up, and we were again fortunate that James had the presence of mind to take that incredible shot.

We can't depend in being that lucky again, but for whatever reason we have failed to show any urgency, determination, aggression, "bite" or anything approaching how we have played against our closest promotion rivals.

Better shape up guys or you will be facing the playoffs and you REALLY don't want that.

Trying for positives...if as expected, Southampton can't get auto and are safely embedded in the playoffs, will the bust their gut in that last fixture? Or even rest a couple? Anyway, we may be the same by then! 😀

About time WE saw EVERY f00king game as a major event and play like we can and should, then it wouldn't f00king matter what anyone else does or how they play.
