Possibly the worst commentator ever?

Sadly, the days of people like Davies, Moore, Coleman and Motson are long gone and I too despair at much of what passes today for football commentary (as I increasingly do of its punditry). That said, I do admit to enjoying listening to Gez & AJ on Albion Radio/TV.

Have to agree with all of that, Gez and Aj are great, totally unbiased as well.
The worst commentator in my opinion is that clown Johnathan Pearce, stat after boring stat, just commentate on the game, total bore of the highest order

He's about as non-partisan as Bomber on Radio WM!😁.

That said, whilst he obviously sides with us and his emphasis is very clearly on how Albion are playing (and he can both praise or be critical of our own performances) he does tend to be fair to the opposition and will equally praise or criticise their play. No doubting he is a bit of a character either and I enjoy his banter with Gez, whose commentary I always find very decent (even if he always finds a way of inserting various stats!&#128512

I think part of the problem is now Sky cover so many games they are struggling to get people of real quality and are happy to drag folk in off the stereets to cover games. Hopefully some will mature if given time. Who remembers Matt Murrays early appearances !! LIke a rabbit caught in the headlights At least he is bearly watchable now

I am watching the Portsmouth v Derby match but the sound has had to go off owing to possibly the worst co-commentator that I have ever heard, Aaron MacClean. The bloke can barely speak English, constantly shouts, tells you absolutely nothing, taking ‘moronic’ to a new level. Why, oh why, do broadcasters seem to be intent on inflicting these morons on us?
