Thread: The Fire Sale...

  1. #21
It appears that we will have to raise funds from player sales in July:

"Documents also revealed that the club’s bank loans have soared to £70million, resulting in an overall debt level of £81million – up from £53million in their 2021-22 accounts.

There will be concerns at Turf Moor that another relegation could plunge the club into financial trouble due to their growing debt levels.

The Clarets are in the process of repaying a £65million loan from MSD Holdings which was taken out during the takeover of the club in 2020 and is scheduled to be repaid by 2027."

Weghorst, Berge, Muric & Wilson are the likeliest departures I reckon.

he's a mod on the Barnsley/burnsley forum, he gets confused occasionally and comes on here, he's relatively harmless and a tyke through and through.

How the hell are we going to build a team if the best young players are sold off. If /when we get relegated don' t we get about 100m in a parachute payment ?
Why are MC not being penalised right now/

Our problem this season was that we had too many loan players in our Championship team and we could not keep them. it's worrying that the same thing may happen again.

Tella is picking up a Bundesliga winners medal. Kane is not. Sort of tells its own story k_c.

I think when we go down this time, as we've only been in the PL one season we get just two years parachute payments. I would guess at around £40 odd million and then £30 odd million. I stand to be corrected by anyone who has the full SP.

Surely you know BT that the words harmless and Tyke cannot be used in the same sentence?

We won't get anything for Amdouni, we will have to loan him out to a European club to cover his wages.
Best chance for any recuperation are Berge, Muric and coppers for McNally and Twine.
Brownhill will walk on a free and I can't see us getting much for Zaroury or Benson.

Bar Berge and Muric we don't have any Premier league players

    Beyer bad season I know
    Odebert - class act
    Koleosho - class act ( injured - horror )
We have an option on Brownhill which I’d think we’ll trigger to agree a small fee for him.

We really don’t want to be selling too many players - keep them together and build.

Amdouni - is a much better footballer than you’re giving him credit for.
