There's been a lot of absolutely deserved plaudits for David Clowes and (eventually) for Paul Warne, but was it even realistic to expect such a bunch of free agents, free transfers, loanees and trainees (and Fozzy!) to reach such heights? Personally, I'm amazed, and it goes some way to easing the pain of all that money wasted on wasters over the past decade or more.
Whatever their individual futures, they deserve whatever plaudits they get
