    Dundee game on/off

Reports suggesting that there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in the Dundee area between now and Saturday’s match. The result being the game could be postponed and moved to another ground. Obviously the alternative venue has to be VAR ready in compliance with league. No doubt the likelihood is our game will be moved to protect the pitch for the live SKY game on Wednesday when Dundee are scheduled to play Rangers. As usual our fans will be last to know when and where the game is being played

Can't see the home fans being happy to move to Tannadice or McDiarmid. But it's certainly a topic of conversation on the Dee fans forum.

Dundee have held a precautionary pitch inspection at Dens Park this afternoon and at present time, the pitch has passed that inspection.

Rain covers are now going on the pitch to try and limit water onto the playing surface. It is likely the covers will stay down on the pitch until Saturday morning.

Depending on the weather, we expect a further pitch inspection to be arranged on Saturday morning.

Updates will be communicated to supporters as soon as we receive them from Dundee.

League looking at possibility playing game if postponed on Saturday at Airdrie on Monday afternoon with no fans in attendance. Hope club have the nerve to stand up to such a ridiculous suggestion. Firstly game scheduled for a grass pitch, fans have already bought tickets etc, Then there is the issue of VAR being installed and properly tested before game kicks off. Yet again our club, players and fans are treated as second class. No doubt everything will be correctly put in place for Rangers their fans and SKY tv for the game to go ahead on Wednesday

    Our new CEO declares

"our position is clear, we either play on Saturday at Dens or we reschedule at another time. If that means that the post split fixtures are delayed then so be it."
