Whinging and Cheating in the premier league.

It does not go without notice that a Manchester United player is whinging to the referee from the start of the game to the final whistle of every match, but he goes without punishment.

Both Chelsea and Wolverhampton Wanderers had player misleading the referee (diving), which led to goals against us. No sanctions on either the players or the referee.

Everton’s first overspending and the FA asked for a 12 points deduction, but the premier league panel gave them a 10 points deduction later reduced on appeal to 6 points deducted.

Now Everton’s second overspending and the FA ask for a 5 points deduction, however the panel have awarded a 2 points deduction, but it is open to appeal.

Nottingham Forest’s awarded a 4 points deduction, but that is awaiting their appeal so possible in view of Everton’s second deduction I am expecting Nottingham Forest to receive 2 points back from their appeal.

I can only conclude that the premier league condones cheating and whinging rather than trying to stamp it out.

They might as well say carry on cheating.A complete laughing stock-a points deduction should not be reduced if they have found to be breaking the rules and if they broke the rules subsequently surely the points deduction should be more severe not less.

The Whitehall farces were a series of five long-running comic stage plays at the Whitehall Theatre in London, presented by the actor-manager Brian Rix, in the 1950s and 1960s. They were in the low comedy tradition of British farce, following the Aldwych farces, which played at the Aldwych Theatre between 1924 and 1933. These farces have nothing on what the EPL can conjure up.

It used to be said that football was a game for gentlemen played by thugs, whilst rugby was a game for thugs played by gentlemen.

Sadly, that has been true for too long - there is so much cheating that it is accepted. Players “win” penalties and free - kicks. They used to be awarded. A “win at all costs” attitude.

SD used to be a lone voice in the wilderness, speaking out about cheating. Even he has gone quiet.

The truth is that players are taught how to cheat, to go down at the slightest touch or possible touch and then the officials get blamed for not seeing it. If the players didn’t do it in the first place, it wouldn’t be an issue.

The euphemism is “gamesmanship”, which makes it acceptable. Why do we bother with the game?

The problem is that most times the referees do see it, they see the lightest of touches which cannot possibly have caused that player to 'go to ground', but still they give the free-kick. Whilst the referees continue to condone and reward cheating you cannot blame the players. As long as referees give free-kicks for players throwing themselves onto the ground with minimal contact, players will continue to throw themselves onto the ground with minimal contact, they'd be foolish not to.

In fact our referees are so hapless that Wolves got a free-kick last week when a player 'went to ground' with no contact at all.

All fine stuff which were seen by a limited number of people who could attend the theatres.
However, the Premier League, with the tv and media coverage, is playing to a worldwide audience of millions who have no idea that it is all a farcical production aimed to ensure that the end result will see a team from the north west or London reap the benefits which they have scripted.

I posted a few weeks back CIB that they’d wait till they can see what’s happening with the league ie forest Everton Luton us and Utd and then issue points based on positions and results ie waiting till result was in from our game and then just giving them 2 points because they know we’re going down now.

The whole thing is corrupt much like politics here it’s rotten top to bottom with people pissing up each others backs and pretending they can’t feel it.

It’s really sad that there are obviously so many clubs guilty but nothing happens - the process is too long and the way it’s managed is poor.

We havent been good enough anyway tbh but it would be interesting if we’d had the 8 or so points bribed off us.

    ( I mean we’ve had a written apology after Forest ).

That shows you where the game is admitting its wrong but doing nothing - city - Chelsea - the toon and the big boys doing just as they want with no repercussions- it’s a mad world where the heir achy seem intent on switching people off the beautiful game.
