Further to last post our 800k was our total income from league and cups. It was less than 700k from the league. On the same all in income from league, Scottish cups and Europe Celtic earned 30m, Rangers 21m and Hearts over 7m due to the lucrative European prize money. Add home gates, sponsorship, merchandise and other tv income that the old firm manage to ring fence there’s little wonder that the league is utterly uncompetitive.

Thanks Dodbroon. £150k is the difference in prize money BUT the difference in Gates should be very much bigger. Rangers were talking about 4k of their supporters, say average £25 each is £100k, compared with say Livi of about 300 total £7500. Very very important to push for top 6.

Agree. There seems little pressure put on our teams over a few years now where cup runs are virtually ignored. Don't know why? Somehow, winning matches and earing more money for the club seems to have been sidelined. A decent cup run could easily have brought in an extra £100k. It's almost as though prize money does not matter to club finances.

Been away up north playing golf today but get the feeling this might cost us points......it shouldn't but the vibe I'm getting.

If it does, blame is really with nelms.

You are the first person U have seen to mention this. Be a disgrace if SPFL even contemplated it.

Wouldn't be right but wouldn't rule it out.

Depends what warning said last time and disciplinary process ongoing.

What Rangers want is usually what Rangers get.

Also can see us getting done out of a home game post split if we make top 6.

Still Nelmsy paid to make these decisions on what to spend money on......I don't think we will be seeing much of him next few weeks........probably best all round.

If we make top 6 fixtures are balanced giving all teams top and bottom 6 an equal number of home and away fixtures, 19:19. The SPFL rules state that the first priority is to give every team an equal number of home and away fixtures. Only when fixtures are imbalanced do they start messing about with 18:20 and 20:18 seasons. To dock Dundee a home fixture they would have to give another team an extra home game and this won't happen. If we end up in the bottom 6 then fixtures are imbalanced and a bottom 6 team would have to get an 18:20 season and that would be odds on us.
