Hasn’t Vickers got metal implants in some of his fingers ?

Quite right, vickers was awful by the time he left here. Injury prone and two years on. Go and watch how he let Morecambe score in his last match, if it is available.
And he was a pale imitation of vik. His dead ball positioning was poor at times, and did look uncomfortable and lacking confidence.
And comms with defenders….made me shudder at times.
Great reflex saver….when the ball was straight at him. But there is a lot more to keeping than that.
    Many were vastly overrating him.

    Find a young gun.

Plus, you're assuming he'd actually want to come back.

I agree with the opening post though, the club should offer Viktor a deal as good as they've ever offered anyone. I'm 99.9% certain he'll turn it down but if you don't ask you don't get. If he says no then so be it, we sell him like we all expect anyway, but it seems daft to not even try to keep your best player at the club. Maybe we already have for all we know.
Lincoln did not offer Vickers a new contract due to his injury problems. No other club came on and he was a free agent for a long time. He was training with us due to his relationship with Andy Warrington. He had been his GK coach at Lincoln, we only offered him a contract when Lewis Price mid season, left to take on a coaching role at Bournemouth.

As someone has commented on the thread he has metal plates in his hands, not ideal for a goalkeeper.

Dion Phillips is a very good keeper, check his record out with Charlton

One of Warne's mates, the last thing we want back here no matter how bad our current lot are.

Viktor and Paul Warne and Viktor’s dad are still very close friends and socialise regularly.

How has that affected Viktor’s performances for us. He is head and shoulders the best player at the club.

So your logic is because Paul Warne signed him he's no good !
What a load of crap, when he was with us there was very little to choose between him and Vik,looks like he has some injuries since, probably why hasn't played much for Derby, but let's not let any like facts get in the way of your irrational hatred of our ex manager.

Whilst there was little between johanson and Vickers, Viktor wasn't a patch on the keeper he's become today. Imo it's a backwards step going back for vickers.
