    Manchester…

    What can I say!

I was in Manchester yesterday and astounded by the locals in the city centre, bdb had already warned me about it but I was still shocked by the drunks, drug addicts and homeless that you can see within a five minute walk of the main stop for the trams,it was like evolution had taken a couple of steps back or something and it was women as well as men,the majority seemed to have manc accents so it wasn’t as though outsiders had converged there

Stay in the Lake District and don’t venture anywhere near Cumbrians ,the difference in life would be to much for you to take in

    Homeless & migrants Griff..

Most major cities have this level of deprivation, Manchester is seen as a vibrant place to visit but so is Miami.. Take a wrong turn and 5 minutes you are in Miami Dade, one of the worst crime / gang / drugs places in the US..

During the day, it is not as noticeable with the hustle & bustle of life and you walk past it because there are people begging everywhere outside supermarkets & shops.. When it quietens down about as office workers go home, you seem to notice it more and there are areas in Manchester that seem to be worse than others...

Anyway, how was the BNL gig Chalky?

Had the pleasure of staying in south beach Miami a few years ago, after reading up on Miami i had no intention of crossing the bridge in to central Miami.

Exactly right bdb,it was a busy city centre so I went on the outskirts for a look around and it didn’t take me long to chance upon some undesirables hanging about an old market stall, these wasn’t kids drinking cider on a park bench but weather worn adults who looked like sh1t,one woman who was probably in her 40’s was swigging from a Carling can and mouthing off at passerbys, once it got to about 6pm they was more noticeable around where the trams drop off and puck people up,I won’t be back anytime soon I’m afraid
